Here a few ways to keep office morale high, without anyone getting too close to each other!

Team up for tennis

Gear up for tennis and a day of competitive fun. Doubles tennis encourages teamwork and you can use a round-robin formula to suit the number of employees attending. Everyone can take turns as the umpire, and half the fun occurs while cheering teammates on from the sidelines!

Whether you choose them based on educational value or for fun alone, games are great icebreakers and help teams work towards common goals. They’re especially useful for remote workers who have little face-to-face contact with each other.

To combine work and fun, invite everyone to join a webinar to learn a new skill each month. Choose team members with specific skills to host each webinar and teach the group. Then, open up a Q&A session so everyone has a chance to learn more about what their colleagues do. If you’re combining offices from different locations, make an event of it with corporate catering for each.

Try some office storytelling

Keep everyone connected with a good story created by your very own team! You probably already collaborate on documents and this is all you need, so staff can contribute whenever inspiration strikes. Create a dedicated document and a story prompt. Team members can add chapters and plot twists to keep it going.

For fun, add characters based on team members and inside jokes. To make it more educational, use the story as a base for ideas towards new projects, products or advertising techniques.
